Hi Room 115,
I hope that you had a wonderful weekend! How is already the last full week of school!? This week as shared before we will be wrapping everything up in all of the subject areas. I am excited for you to see the final pieces of your students hard work and effort! There are some really incredible pieces coming home soon and I am excited for you all to celebrate a wonderful year of growth with your student! Here are some end of the year things for you to know as we wrap up! 1. Please send in, if you have not already, a reusable bag or brown paper bag (such as a grocery bag) for your student to take home their artwork. They have a lot to bring home and want to make sure it is in a sturdy bag! 2. Library books: please make sure you check one more time to make sure there are not any more library books at home. There will be a note home from the library this week if you are missing anything 3. Field Day is tomorrow! Each year the students receive a t-shirt to celebrate field day! I have all of these shirts at school ready to pass out for your child to wear! Field day will take place outside all afternoon. Please make sure you pay attention to weather so that your student is comfortable for whatever may come our way! 4. WE Day - we have a Braeside service learning day coming up on the 11th! This day will be dedicated to doing service projects and learning about ways that we can make an impact in our community. There will be guest speakers and different rotations of service activities. 5. Snails! As you know, our class has had snails all year long! If your student would like to take home a snail to keep or to house just over the summer, please feel free to send in a container and I will send your student home with them! They eat fish food, and need a closed container with holes on the top for air! Looking forward to a great week!! As always, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out!
